Rafe Spall will play Atticus Finch in Aaron Sorkin's new play based on Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, directed by Bartlett Sher, and now playing at the Gielgud Theatre in London after an astoundingly successful run on Broadway.

The show follows the story of Atticus Finch, a lawyer in 1930s Alabama, as he defends Tom Robinson, a black man falsely accused of rape. Varying from the book, the play has Atticus as the protagonist, not his daughter Scout, as the story tackles these deeply serious issues while still managing to portray warmth and humour.
